| I know it's been nearly a year since I've posted, but it seems that I am always so busy or just don't have anything to share. Well, I do now! Friends of the Xanga world, I am engaged! Saturday, March 29th is a day that will go down in history. After 6 1/2 years of dating, we're finally starting to tie the knot! I've gotten many a congrats over the past few days, and I smile from ear to ear every time. My fiancée completely surprised me with the proposal, had a candlelit dinner (made completely by him) awaiting me, and said some awesome things that made me weak in the knees. I think he's a keeper! We're not sure on the date yet, but thinking around April/May of 2009, after we're done with student teaching this fall. My ring is gorgeous, exactly my style, and fit perfectly when he slid it on! This means we were meant to be. If I can figure out how to put pictures up, I'll try to post some of my new bling bling. Now begins the planning.... | | |
| Hello all again! I realize that I haven't posted in a very long time and I'm sure you all have missed my wisdom. I find all of your blogs very interesting and entertaining, I just never respond for some reason; I'll work on that. Everything has been pretty good my way this spring. I love the weather (despite as I am writing this it is 34 degrees outstide) and especially all of flowers and trees not looking so dead anymore. I just puts me in a good mood. I can't believe that I'm almost done with a full semester at good ol' EIU. I have realized it isn't all it's cracked up to be however. (Not to sway Jared's decision in any way shape or form, I need him to stay around so we can continue our board game affair ). Of course maybe I haven't got the true experience of it yet because I haven't had a chance to get into the classes that really will pertain to my teaching methods and because I don't live in Ol' Grey yet with 4 other fabulous women. I'll just have to wait and see. More to come later! | | |
| I decided to make another entry because that last one was just a downer. I am very excited to hear about the new little boy coming into the world. I was there when Annie got the news, and I don't think I've ever seen someone so unable to contain their excitement. I'm a little disappointed that I am the oldest in my family, because I think that I will probably be the first to have a baby for my family, which will be totally awesome then, but I don't know if after I have my own baby that I will be as excited about getting a niece or nephew, because I've already got a cute, perfect little baby. I still think I'll be excited, but maybe not enough. We'll see when the time comes. Tonight was the first night I taught my PSR class. I have seniors and I don't know how well I did. I'm really unsure as to why they picked me to teach religion to high school seniors considering I'm only like 3 yrs older than them and am definately NOT very knowledgable about the Catholic faith. I tried a few current issues, but I couldn't tell how well it went. Suggested topics are welcome! Good Night! | | |
| I would just like to say, that cars suck. Well at least mine. This is the not first, not second, but third time my car has been in the shop within the last 2 weeks! And the fact that I have already paid what I believe to be an enourmous amount of money to "fix it". (I say this with sarcasm because so far it hasn't been.) Why can't somebody just invent the machine in which we can all teleport from place to place, you know like "Beam me up Scottie"?. So if anyone out there is holding out on those plans, fork it over, because it would easy a big headache of mine. You don't really realize how lucky you are with a car that works wonderfully until yours just decides one day that its done working for you, just like that. No warning, nothing. I guess I've always, like everyone else with good running cars did, and took her for granted. So maybe I had it coming, but I still think I deserved a nice warning period so I could prepare my financial status. Sorry to be such a bummer today, but that's pretty much what is on my mind now, so everyone else gets to hear me gripe. | | |
| Hey everybody! This is my first ever attempt at a blog or anything like it, so don't judge me! So...what about me? Well this is my first semester at EIU and I'm pretty pumped about it. I now feel like a real college student. Although I'm not sure I'm experiencing the full college life because I don't have an IPod attached to me. I only a have a MP3 player, sigh. I'm ok with it though. Since I believe that Annie is the only one right now that is going to read this... I think Annie is the coolest, smartest, and prettiest person I'll ever know. She rocks! | | |
